GardenRunner — Terms of Service (DRAFT)

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using GardenRunner (the "Service"), a free product of Good Minded ("we"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. Eligibility & account

You must be at least [18] (or the age of majority where you live). Keep your credentials secure; you're responsible for activity under your account.

3. The Service is informational — NOT professional advice

GardenRunner provides informational garden-design suggestions from data and rules. It is not professional horticultural, landscape-architecture, arboricultural, environmental, or legal advice, and not a substitute for a qualified professional or your local authorities.

• Plant, soil, drainage, invasive-species, toxicity, and permit/regulation information is informational and may be incomplete or wrong for your specific site. Always verify with your local cooperative extension, a licensed nursery, an arborist, and the relevant authorities before planting, removing vegetation, altering drainage, or working near water or protected areas.
• We label our confidence and flag assumptions, but the decisions — and the risks — are yours.

4. Donations

Donations are voluntary, made through Givebutter to Good Minded, and are not a purchase of the Service or any feature — the Service is free and nothing is gated behind a donation. Donations are generally non-refundable. [Tax-deductibility statements are subject to separate confirmation and are not made here.]

5. Your content and plans

The info you enter and the plans you generate are yours. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the Service (store/process your data to provide it). The Service itself — software, content, brand, and plant-data compilation — belongs to Good Minded and its licensors.

6. Acceptable use

No unlawful use, no attempts to breach security, no large-scale scraping, no disruption, no reselling the Service.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on and links to third parties (Google Firebase, Givebutter, nurseries, extension resources). We're not responsible for their content or practices.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. We don't warrant that recommendations are accurate, complete, suitable for your site, or that plants will survive.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Good Minded and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for plant loss, property damage, regulatory penalties, or costs arising from your use of the Service or reliance on its suggestions.
